Year 9, 10 & 11 BTEC L2 Engineering

In year 9 and 10 the course will enable students to develop their practical skills in mechanical and fabrication engineering, as well as introducing students to the world of engineering. Students will study a variety of subject areas such as, health and safety, project and production planning, quality control and assurance, CAD/CAM and manufacturing techniques. In year 10 and 11 students will apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired to complete assessment tasks in the areas of, health and safety in fabrication engineering, machining techniques and investigating an engineered product. There will also be an external exam component which will test students on their knowledge of the engineered world.
